When is Hakikisha available?

Hakikisha means "to ascertain, confirm, or verify" in Swahili. Hakikisha is available on the Move Money experience. It allows you to confirm the business name when paying to an M-PESA Paybill or Till Number. However, its availability is dependent on Safaricom's network. If Safaricom's network is down, we may not be able to show you the business name associated with a Paybill or Till number.

What happens if Hakikisha doesn't work?

If Hakikisha does not work, please take caution and double-check to ensure that you are paying to the correct account.

What is the correct format for paying to an M-PESA phone number?

To ensure smooth transactions, always begin with "+254" when paying to an M-PESA phone number, followed by the remaining digits. For example, it should be formatted like this: +254712345678.
