Send money to M-PESA phone number - Mobile app guide

✅ Step-by-step guide:

1: Click the Move Money button at the bottom right corner, then select Send Money.

You can also access the Send Money option directly from the home page by clicking the Send icon, as shown in the following image:

2: Select the account you are transferring funds from under Send money from.
Choose Enter M-PESA phone or pick from Favourites or Frequently Paid.

3: Enter the payment details. Select the number from your contact list or type in the phone number.

💡 You can enter a nickname to help you easily recognize who you are paying. This makes it faster the next time you send money.

💡 Tick the Add to Favourites box for quicker access in the future.

4: Enter amount then provide a reason for the payment. This will help you keep track of your transactions and make reporting easier.

💡 Tick Add M-PESA withdrawal fees if you want to cover the M-PESA withdrawal charges for the recipient.

5: Click Next then confirm the payment details, then tap Confirm.

6: Enter the one-time password (OTP) sent to your phone number, then click Verify.

You will see a confirmation on your screen and receive both an SMS and an email confirming that the payment has been initiated.
